Buffons escaped interference and. closing a big gap gamely, came fast in the stretch and won easing up. Home Run had no mishaps and showed the most early speed, but tired badly- in the stretch drive. Olive Ely, going wide throughout, ran well and finished gamely. Sister Phyllis, shuffled back soon after the start, closed a gap and was unlucky to lose third place. Mabel Henry ran a good race and was close up for a half, but tired slightly in the stretch. All Red found the weight too much, but made a game effort and outstayed Alice iu the closing drive. AVarner Griswell ran a good race and. having to overcome Interference at tlie three-quarters post, was tiring near the end, but just lasted long enough. Palamoii, practically left at the post, closed a big gap and ran as if much the best. Huerfano came with a rush in the last quarter. Bitter Hand showed speed, but tired. True Boy finished close up and was given a bad ride. Hannibal Bey and Beau Brunimel tired badly in the stretch. The winner was entered for 00: no bid.
