CUSHING SEEKS RAILROAD MONEY. Lexington. Ky., November 17. J. E. Cushing arrived here today from Los Augeles to prosecute his suit for damages against the Louisville and Nash- j ville Railroad Company for the loss of sis thorough- j bred horses that were burned to death in a car at Paris. Ky.. about three years ago. Ed Baxter left this morning for Havana. He was accompanied by apprentice jockey Willie Paul. His four horses, Rexall. French Nuu. Colonel Blue and Claiborne, were chipped from Latonia, today for Cuba. J. H. Jarvis. of Holtou, Kas.. arrived here at noon today and before nightfall had purchased twenty-four head of thoroughbreds to be resold to farmers In Kansas. T. P. Hayes will make his home in this city for the winter. His horses are still at Latonia. He has not decided where he will ship them.
