WHITNEY MAINTAINS AMERICAN STABLE. New York, November 17. It was learned yesterday that H. P. Whitney will have about twenty horses to race here next season, a majority of them two-year-olds, and that they will be trained by AV. H. Karrick. who has handled H. K. Knapps Oneck Stable for a number of years with marked success. Mr. Kuapp will continue to keep up his stable, so that Karrick will have his hands full. The fact that Mr. Whitney has engaged Karrick and that Mr. Knapp Is making plans for the future would seem to Indicate that racing is not dead yet by any means.
