Stanley Fay moved up fast after entering the stretch and stood the sharp last eighth drive -with rare game-ness, finishing with a rush, but Old Timer held him in close quarters next to the rail in the last eighth. Magazine ran well to the stretch and tired badly in the final sixteenth. Jack Nunnally finished with a great rush. Lee Rose ran well to the stretch and tired.
