A peculiar accident occurred on the closing day of the Houston meeting which resulted in the death of the live-year-old Daring. The horse, with Munden ill, was si contestant in the sixth race, hut stum-hlcd and fell after passing the quarter. On arising to his feet he ran away in an opposite direction from the oth;r horses. After Kizil had won the race and before he could lie pulled up he collided with Daring, coming from the other way. resulting in the hitters death.
