EXCELLENT RACING AT JACKSONVILLE. Jacksonville. Fla.. April C. — Evenly balanced fields produced good racing at Moncrcif Park tills after noon. Some of I he best horses on the ground went to the post in flu different races, and what was lacking in quantity was more than made up in awelity. Five favorites won. and it was the heal break that the public has had since the meeting haanan. In the two vear-old race Dave Nicholson turned the t.lhles on Lou Lanier, which beat him the last time the pair met. Many figured that the extra half furlong that they were asked to go would ta i Lou Lanier more than Have Nii-hoison. but results proved that the colt was as game as the fillv and that the extra distance helped rather than hurt his rhaarca Troxlcr. with his usual alertness at the pest, succeeded in beating the others awav from the barrier, and before they had gone a furlong he had a two-length lead. In the homestretch the field I bunched up. but at the end Have Nicholson drew away again. Sally Preston won her first race since leaving ■ Cuba when she beat Font out a couple of lengths in the fourth race. Saase surprise was expressed i over Font being peunlted to start today.
