BASHF0RD MANOR YOUNGSTERS NAMED. Lexington. Ky.. April Ki. — Oeorge J. Long, of the Bashfoid Manor Stud, near Louisville, has this year given all of the two-year-old get of Alvescot names beginning with the letter D. In so doing, he is following out a plan, inaugurated with the coming of the first crop of foals by the imported son of Raeburn ai:d Alberta in 1004. for the ready determination of the ages of his horses. All of Al-viseots get in 1004 had names beginning with the letter A. The following year he used the letter B. the next the letter C and now the 1SK7 lot are coming to the races with D names, as follows: Davora. ch. f. dam Sevilla. by Alarm. Dominica, ch. f. dam Evil Eye. by Jalore. Don Antonio, ch. c. dam Variora. by Victory. Donier. b. c. dam Veronica, by Onondaga. Davora ■ a half-sister to Maci.-is. Antara and Xedra. Deerfoot is a full sister to Balbus. Delf is a full sister to Boema and half-sister to Autil Han. Cohasset and Marcus. Divisor is a full brother to Chilla. a winner this year. Doini neer is a half-brother to Palamou. Klvisa and Isobel dam of Little Minnie. Dominica is a full sister to Colmo. Don Antonio is the first foal of Variora. a winner, ami half-sister to the good campaigner. Right and True. Donier is a full brother to Belarius and half-brother to those rattling good racers. Dick Bernard and Censor. It will be noted that the color of these two -year-olds, with tin-exception of Donier. is chestnut, the color of their sire Singularly enough they are all out of bay ■area with the exception of Davora and Divisor. These two-year-olds are in training at Churchill Downs and there ate some good reiMirts about them.
