Billiard Ball and Broken Ties are the tirst foals of their dams, both of which wire speedy mares. Bougainvillaea is the soi-ond foal of Sister Aniette. her tirst lieing Clear Rock, by Rensselaer. now a three-year-old and still a maiden. In the naming of Rroken Ties there is an expression of feeling for a departed friend. Rose Mary Kane was named far the laughter of the late Hugh Kane of Texas, arte was one of Mr. Bradleys closest friends. These horses are all doing well. They will lie brought to Ihe local track from the farm in a day or two and will race at the Lexington spring meeting, then at Louisville and then at the New York meetings. Incidentally, in a re cent issue of a London racing paper, it is reported thai Ravello II.. the dam of Frank Gill, was again mated with Collar this year. She was bought out of Ike W. Harry Brown dispersal sale here last fall by Harry Payne Whitncv for *l.t;oo and sent to England during the winter. Her yearling colt, by Carry Hermann, is now owned by Mr. Mi-Ginnis and is hen- and is a very likely looking youngster.
