RAIN INTERRUPTS TRACK WORK. New York. April 22. — Sheepshead Bay sent a consignment of horses to Pimlico Tuesday afternoon. The most important shipments were those of George Odom and Frank Gardner. These are important, for while Odom undoubtedly has the Iiest three-year-old filly tl-at will race at the Pimlico meeting in Trance. Gardner has the best colt iu Statesman, which is in perfec condition. Besides Trance in the Odom string were Nimbus. Travel It. Bonnie Kelso. Constellation and Mazuma. The Gardner lot included Queen of the Hills, Racine II. and two two-year olds. James McLaughlin. Jr., sent Sunfire. Mr. Gray also sent a pair of good-looking two-year-olds. Tul!y Coulter will wait until the opening of the season at Belmont Park before showing bis colors. The Coulter horses have been doing exceedingly well in their exercises, but in oue of her gallops Trash ran away and had to be rested for a time as a result. It is probable that the horses of George Odom are further advanced than any of the horses of the shipment, and Trance is the pick of his lot. The heavy rain of yesterday morning kept most of the trainers under shelter. W. H. Karrick was one who accomplished considerable useful work, while James Rowe sent the Keene string along in the same fashion. Maskette. Celt. Henley. Casque. Turncoat. Sunbury and llti mils were all able to go along almost as fast as they have been asked to gallop over the track, while the two-year-. dds were also galloped along u-.lulh . Simon Healev bad Barduiinister. Lay-minister. Dreamer. Master Robert and Young Friend galloping under shelter. At Gravesend George Cornell had Golconda and Obadiah galloped in the open and they were about the only ones to come from under shelter.
