Mr. Whalen says that there has not lioen a day during the winter that he could not exercise his horses on the half-mile track at Garnet, and he ha-thus been enabled to tiling them north ready t.. race. Half Sovereign is in form and ready. The stable is sweet on the two-year-old. Dull Care, which has been pointed for the early - racing. The big delegation from Washington made up of the Rainey. Gay King, two hunters and three two-year olds. Jockey Griffin will ride for Pangle. Captain Walker brought eight two-year-olds from Jacksonville. Al Hainel brought up the old sprinter. Halifax, ready to race. The Schorr and Turney strings, from Memphis, have been at Pimlico long enough to show that they are tit and ready for the races. The old handicap horse, Martin Doyle, is tit. and worked a mile in 1:428. Thco Cook, from the stable, reeled otf three-quarters in 1:19, hard held. Montbcrt did three quarters in 1:13. very handily. George Sherman worked Dele Strome five eighths in 1:03. Smoker and Maxim Gun did three-quarters in 1:18. Captain Presgraw- worked Hurlnck a mile in 1:46 and Tasley three -quarters in 1:18. Dome trios and Black Mose worked together three quarters in 1:18. Woods Garth sent Lady Isabel a mile in 1:46. Beal gave Oxford Belle an easy mile in 1:50. Beal also schooled his jumpers. Proclivity. Racelli and Guardian. A. Simous worked Midshipman Easy and two two-year-olds three quarters, sending them a quarter through the stretch in 25. Garth worked a bunch of two-year-olds very fast from the barrier. The following stables have arrived from Jacksonville. Fla.: S. J. Kirkman. with l on Hamilton and the good two-year-old. Johnny Wise, a wiraier at the Florida Midwinter State Fair. at Tampa, boating the best two-year-olds at the track. Harry Shannon, with .Manheiiner. a winner at Havana. Cuba, and al Montreal last tall, and Schroders Midway. Frank Lightfoot. with Colonel Craig and Jeanef.f, M.. a winner in Culw. also at Tumpa and Jacks, u villo. F. Musante. with Siskin, a winner at Savannah and Tampa, beating the pick of both meetings M. Myers, with the old campaigner. Irfnique. and several others. Henry Craven had the horses of Colonel Robert Neville out this morning, and sent them along tnile. at a two-minute lick. Sir Wooster. Garterman Harpist II. and Bnllacalla. by Aldington, were among those galloped. Jockey Upton was among the arrivals fpwn San Francisco. Iptou is under contract to George Odom. for whom he rode there last fall. He will accept outside mounts .it the meeting. Ipton reports that, jockey Dick Scoville is on the way from Oiklani to ride at the coming meeting. Scoville last year rode in Japan, where lie headed the list of winning jockeys, but loturned to California last winter. H" is under contract to Max Hirsch for the Pimliri meeting. Jockey Callahan, who has ridden at Havana an I Tampa, put in his appearance. He is under contract, to James McLaughlin.
