Momentum ran on the outside of the leaders all the way and was carried wide when entering the homestretch, but outstayed George W. Lebolt in the final drive. The latter ran well, but tired from nicing with the winner for the first half. Botanist was outrun all the w.iv. The winner was entered for U0: 110 bid. Bobbie Kean left the barrier with a rush and rook a good lead on the first turn, but tired after going six furlongs and was hard ridden at the end to stall off King of Bashan. The latter, outrun early, closed a big gap and finished resolutely. Campaigner ran well but was weakly ridden at the end. The winner was entered for O0: no bid. Sparker stumbled in landing at the eleventh jump and his rider all but fell off. but the baree recovered and wore Tiro down at the end. The latter showed much speed for the first turn of the field. Pontotoc pulled up sore. Wayside lost his rider at the fourteenth jump. Superstition came through fast on the inside when entering the homestretch, but was shut off bv the winner in the last dozen strides. Rossfenton. closed a big gap.
