Bellwether ran under stout restraint for the first half mile, was taken wide when be made hi I move and finished gamely. Purslane broke siowly and closed a big gap. Fort Garry was taken back and saved early and moved up with a game challenge when str lightened out in the homestretch, but tired in flic last furlong. Direct ran a splendid race, was crowded back at the stall and forced to work his way up on the outside, win- Jack Parker down in the last furlong and outgained him at the end. Jack Parker was much used in setting the pace, finished gamely and ran the best race he has shown this spring. St. Klinwood closed H big gap. finished with a rush and was gaining on the leaders at evi ry stride at the cud. Glimmer ran well and was in the middle of the track all the way. Stromehind was a forward contender to the furlong post, then tired. Moonrnker made up much ground. Green Seal ran well.
