SANGUINE OF SUCCESS AT J0LIET. Washington Norvell returned to Chicago yesterday from Norfolk. Va.. which place he made his headquarters while acting as secretary for the recently closed Jamestown meeting. He disclaims any knowledge of the report sent out from Latonia to the effect that L. E. Ingalls had offered him the position of racing secretary for the proposed brief meeting at Ingalls Park. Joliet. Mr. Ingalls was interviewed relative to the matter and corfld account for the report only on the surmise that Magnus Flaws, who la arranging the details of the meeting, might have written to Mr. Norvell for advice on the making un of the program. Mr. Ingalls says that the outlook for a successful meeting at Joliet is very bright. The undertaking has aroused keen interest in Chicago, as well as iu Will County, and there is every reason for believing that it will be carried to a satisfactory consummation, says Mr. Ingalls.
