Dalhoiisie. interfered with soon after the start when Daisy Garth rushed to the front and cut across to the inside, was in close quarters until straightened out in the homestretch, then came on fast and finally won in a verv close finish. Chief Kee worked his way up on the outside of the leaders, closed up steadily nnd was gaining on the leader at every stride. Daisy Garth showed the most early ■peed, but tired after going a half mile. Detroit was verv green at the barrier and carried wide when entering the homestretcu.
