On the eastern tracks the rule concerning jockey fees reads as follows: "In the absence of a specified contract, the fees to a jockey in all races not exceeding 00 to the winning horses, shall be 5 for a winning mount and for a losing mount. In all other races 5 for a winning mount and 0 for a losing mount."
