Howdy Howdy rati in prominent contention for five furlongs and tired finally. Henderson, away liadly, lacked his usual speed, but -was unexpectedly gaining at the end. Love Watches, prominent for half of. the journey, quit badlv. Young Belle ran well up to the stretch. Madeline L. was nearly left. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Albert Star,, slow at the beginning and shuttled to the rear 011 the first turn, closed an Immense gap In the last six furlongs and got up, in the last stride. Killlecrankie was, bumped to her knees 011 the first turn and made a miraculous recovery, then made up much ground Into a fast going, but swerving, second. Skvo. from a bad start, steadily improved her position into a fast going and close up third. Coincident ran forwardly and gamely throughout. County Fair outbroke the others and set the pace to midway of-the stretch, then tired and was crowded oiit. Miss Popular, outrun early, was gaining at the end. Constellation showed early siieed and had a rough jouniey. Montrose closed a big gap. Trois Temp failed to stay. Fond Heart lapiied County Fair for six furlongs before succumbing. Donau forced the pace lapied on The Fad on the inside in deep going throughout and outstayed him lmally, then succumbed to the patiently ridden winner. The Fad, away in the lead, ran on the outside of Donau under a pull for half of the journey, then drew out, but tired in a Ions closing drive under a weak hnish. Half Sovereign ran in forward and persistent pursuit from the start, wore Jack Atkin down in the closing strides and was lucky. Jack Atkin was reserved in close attendance on the early pacemaker for the first quarter, then drew out prematurely on the hackstretch and held sway to the last fifty yards before succumbing. Arondack met early interference and kept within hailing distance, then closed up rapidly in the last half and just failed to get up. Tony lSonero made the early running on sufferance and retired on the far turn. Practical, from a poor start, was outpaced, hut liuished well. Scratched S3S052Spooner, 100. Queen Marguerite, from an inside slow start, rapidly improved her position in the middle quarter and drew out decisively finally. Pantoutie, outpaced, though well up in the early running, drew out into a fast going second midway of the stretch. Aladman was outpaced and outstayed decisively by the two leaders and his race should be thrown out. Jennie Wells forced the early pace and came away in the stretch, hut succumbed finally. Bandello, shuttled to the rear at the half, closed a gap and la improving. Mobility held on persistently. Paradise Queen was outpaced from the start. Earls Court retired after leading for the first half. The winner was entered for 1909.sh00: no bid. Superstition outbroke and outpaced the others bv a wide gap for six furlongs, but tired badly in the last quarter. Campaigner, outpaced earlr, finished like a cvclone and is in rare form. Footpad ran forwardly and persistently throughout Acrobat was also well up to the stretch. St. Joseph ran in nearest attendance on the pacemaker under a pull to the half and was suddenly surrounded and jostled to the rear. The winner was entered for ,000; no bid.
