CONCERNING CALIFORNIA RACING. Saratoga. X. Y., August 14. George Rose stated today -that Thomas II. Williams, president of the California Jockey Club, will run a race meeting at Oakland this coining winter, even if the venture entails a loss. Rose added that the Los Angeles Racing Association would co-operate with him to make it successful and that he has hopes of being able to resume the snort in southern California the following year. T. II. Williams has wired that lie will come east in September, as usual.
