LAT0NEA TO RACE TWENTY-FOUR DAYS. Dates Officially Announced Embrace October 11 to November G No Stakes, but Good Purses. Cincinnati. O.. August 25. It is ollieially announced that the Latnnia Jockey Club will give a race meeting of twenty-four days this fall, beginning Mayday. October 11, and ending Saturday. November 0. The meeting at the La tenia course will follow that At the New Louisville Jockey Club, which is to close on Octolier 9. Secretary John Dillon says of the meeting: "We will have a fall meeting at our track, and it will lie a good one. Latonla will follow Louisville, as it looks as though the Lexington people are not going to race. Although we will offer no stakes this fall, there will be plenty of money for the horsemen in purse races, and we expect the best stables in the west to lie with us." The betting ring will be open, as usual, and all reputable bookmakers may draw in. Latonia will not race under the sanction of the Kentucky State Racing Commission.
