Spooner, on the inside, unready and pulling up at the start, worked through rapidly and, closing an immense gap, just failed to get up ami was much the best. Waponoca. away badly on the extreme outside, steadily improved ills position into a fast going and close up third. Paradise Queen ran forwardly and persistently throughout and finished close up. Beckon, after nearest pursuit for six furlongs, quit badly in the closing drive. Sailor Girl, away poorly, ran into quick forward attendance and was well up for six furlongs, but tired. Scarpia, after forward inside pursuit to the last turn, came along on the outside in a fast closing rush and won going away. Chickasaw, from a slow outside start, closed up rapidly, but was interfered with at the half, then challenged in the last furloug and was a game second. Joe Morris was a prominent and persistent contender throughout. Dalhousie lapped the pacemaker from the start and showed in front on the stretch turn, but succumlied in a game closing effort. Jacquelina, well up from the start, was pocketed all through the stretch, or she would "nave been placed, and finished running fastest of all except the winner. Busy, shuffled rearward, trailed hopelessly to the stretch and made a sensationally fast closing sprint. Democrat, pulling up at the start, closed an immense gap. Glennadeane, well up to the stretch, tired. Pretend had a bad start and was gaining at the end. Big Stick set the pace to the stretch and quit badly. Angerona finished well. Danoscara. reserved well up in the early running, challenged in the last quarter and just failed to get up In a cracking effort. Far West ran forwardly from the start and loomed up menacingly In the stretch, but tired in the closing strides. Summer Night ran In nearest attendance early and held on persistently to the last sixteenth, then tired.
