April IX.— The Majority of the horsemen who remained over for the dosing days left today for Lexington and Ij.uisvilb- on a special train made up of twenty-one Burton and Arms care. In this consignment went the horses owned by the following turfmen: H. McCarren. Dillard Hill. Gallaher Bros.. G. R. Brvson. C. A. Ross. M. Foley. J. S. Ward. T. Abadie. I. B. I-itzg-raid. W. Perkins. W. V. Casev. J. P. Jones. C. S. Wilson. E. Trott.r. T. P. Hayes. L. C. Slx.be and W. E. Sett. Dick Benson will ship to Kansas Citv and from there to Ogden or Salt Lake Citv. Os.-or Holder and A. W. Faulk will go direct to Ogden from here. According to an announcement made by one of the prominent members of the local association, the daily programs at Monerdf next whiter will he nia.b-up of two .Mi purses, two at 8500 and two of *111. The added money to most of the stakes will l o in creased and the Derby will have a guarantcd value of 85.0001. There will be two stakes each week, as during the se.i ..n just closed. The Florida Br ling Bureau has distributed twenty eight stal lions throughout the state this spring, and several more will be sent to the country districts within the nexe two weeks. There is some talk of racing being revived at Charleston. S. . As a matter of fact a company is being organized with the idea of building a new track in that city and some Jacksonville capital will be iiitVrest.-.l in the project. The idea is to hold ■hart meetings there in the sluing and fall. It i-undorstood that Judge Joseph A. Murphy has consented to act as general manager and presiding judge if the plans mature. Much, however, will depend on the outlook in Florida so far as the Ha va:ia venture is concerned.
