NOTES OF THE TURF. The Canadian Racing Associations will meet May 4 to complete the seasons preparations, pass on new ritle and consider applications lor licenses. Trainer Richard Watkins shipned a carload of horses from Sin epahead Bay to Baltimore for todays opening. Lid of Langden. Wooleasta. Clif. Cliff Edge, OConnor and Edith C. are among the consign ment. The latter two ami a couple of others ara the property of David Gtdeaa. All are in forward condition mid nie expected to win over the old Pini-Uco course. The horses of F. -I. pons that are quartered at Sheepshead Bav include Agnes Mav. Tallahassee. Oakley. Abrasion, Alfred the Great, Font and Great Heavens. There is some talk that the French tab-ticket system will he used for pari mutiiel betting at L-itonia instead of the machines. The results arrived at are identical by lioth methods. H. V. Whitneys three-year-old bay rillv bv Irish Lad— Haudspiiii. which won two races out of four start ~ in Fngland last vear. has been given the Well selected name of Lace. Jack Atkin has been a sick horse since the running of Ihe Carter Handicap.
