RICHARD CROKER ADMIRES AQUEDUCT. New York. April 1!.— Richard Crok.r attended Hi-Aqueduct races Saturday as the guest of W. S. Fan shawe. of Silver Br.n.k Farm. Mr. Croker was much iinpressml by the size and completeness of the Aque duct plant. "This is a fine, big course." he said. "It compares favorably with any I ever saw here or abroad, and I am not surprised that it is popular with racing folk. The stretches here are wide and long, and the turns are big and roomy. There IM not seem to me to lie an excuse for crowding. This would he just the pla- e at which to run a Brooklyn or a Suburban." Aqueduct occupies a much more important place in the scheme of eastern racing now than it did when Mr. Croker owned and raced horses. Mr. Croker told his friends that lie would sail for Kurope Wednesday next. lie has no horses for the Derby and the Oaks this season, but his stable is fairly strong. Mr. Croker has sent Rhodora. winner of the One Thousand Guineas of lmis. to England t 1m mated with J. B. Joels successful stallion. Suii"1-ridge. Mr. Croker is very fond of Rlnxlora. He considers her one of the best mares he ever saw aud believes that she will make j;oih! in the stud.
