WINDSORS HANDICAP FOR TWO-YEAR-OLDS + 4- For the quite sufficient reason that it has only been established long enough to be run twice, the Essex Handicap can show but two winners, but both were speedy two-year-olds and developed into useful three-year-olds. At sprinting distances Richard Reed was dangerous in almost any company last year and Prince Imperial is in the first light of our three-year-olds this year, while Douau. which could only finish third in 1000. has this year won the fame of enrollment in the long list of Kentucky Derby winners. The record of the Essex is as follows: Jcat First. Jockeys. Wt. Second. Wt. Third. Wt. Val. Time. 1108 Richard Reed ..J. W. Murphy.. tOB Hawkstiight 108 Balbek 108 $ 1,150 1:01 1000 Prince Imperial Mentry..ll9 Eye White 113 Douau 110 1.150 1:03s Run at 5-8 mile until 1010.
