TRAINER DALY RETURNS TO AMERICA. New York. July 21. — Mike Daly, the Canadian Steeplechase trailer, who succeeded Howard Lewis. Jr.. as handler of the cross-country stable of Joseph E. Widener in France, lias returned to this country. Mr. Daly turned the Widener horses over to Fred Curlew before starting home. lie intends to remain in this country and. it is likely, will get together a small string of junipers. Mr. Whiff r himself has returned from Franco, and he will see some chasing at Saratoga. Mr. Widener lias a couple of likely three-year -olds at Philadelphia In Naughty Boy and Newmarket. Naughty Boy is a half -brother to Faust and Newmarket is a half-brother to Thomas Hitchcock. Jr.s Stokes, which has been highly succt ssful in France. Howard Lewis bought these- horses from John Mad den last spring and is teaching them the art of juuipiug.
