MDOWELL YEARLINGS TAKEN UP. Lexington. Ky.. September .!. — T. C. McDowell has taken ui ten yearlings at Ashland Farm since he returned from the east with his stable. The lot embraces four colts and six tillies. iii which sro centered liis hopes for two-year-old honors of l.lll. They are: Chestnut colt, by Yankee — Fancy nood, by Prince of Monaco. Bay colt, by Griffin -Belle of Ashland, by Orna meat. Chestnut colt, by Voter -Bracrgirille. by Fonso. Bay colt, by Voter Monarda. by Candlemas. Chestnut filly, by The Scribe — Tesiawha, dam of Bomp. Brown filly, by Hastings — Miss Q Baric, dam of Berwick and Hack. Chestnut tilly, by Mazagan — Monarka, by Prince of Monaco. Brown filly, by Plaaadee — Countess Irnaa, dam of Baraadale and The Peer. Brown nllv. by Ogdea — Star Cant. Chestnut filly, by Octagon -Lucy Locket. The Voter — Bracegirdle colt was the winner in the yearling ring at the Blue Grass Fair. He is a half-brother to the Latonia Derby winner. Woodlako, The Rival and Lady Anna, and his dam was a brilliant race mare. Mr. McDowell will patronise the Kentucky meetings this fall with every horse he owns that is good enough to race. He thinks Kings Daughter will return to form this fall. She staled off during the Summer and was not within main pounds of lur best form in the east. The great mare especially likes the track at Churchill Downs and some of lrT best races have been tun over thai course.
