JOCKEY V. POWERS TO RIDE IN KENTUCKY. New York. September 17. --Frank Nolan has surrendered first call on lie services of jockey Vincent Powers and Powers has been spending a few weeks at Panama. N. V.. where bis folks live, pending tin opining of fall racing in Kentucky. Powers will ride as a tree lance in Kentuckv under the BUWage-ment of I.. . Cassidy. who managed him at Sheeps. head Bay. Vonkers anil Saratoga. Powers has not this rear had anything like the success lie enjoyed in laOtt. Until he signed with Mr. Nolan for the Saratoga meeting he had no strong stable connections and he mCercd a touch of sunstroke while reducing on lie- 4th of July, which weakened him.
