WEIGHTS ON LOWER SCALE READJUSTMENT OF IMPOSTS FOR RICH DOMINION HANDICAP ANNOUNCED. Fitz Herbert, Top Weight, Asked to Carry 131 as Against 138 at Previous Allotment — Donald Macdonald Assigned Ten Founds More. J Ruffalo. N. Y., September 19. — Secretary E. W. Maginn of the Niagara Racing Association announced yesterday the new list of weights for the 0,000 Dominion Handicap, one mile aixl a quarter, to be run October 4, the opening day of the fall meeting at Fort Erie. Weights for the race were originally announced July 15, but the postponement of the meeting at Fort Erie in consequence of a railroad strike necessitated readjustment of tho weights, tlie conditions of the race providing for announcement of the weights fifteen days prior to its running. HanOicapper Maginn, in re-allotting the weights, pitched them at a slightly lower scale than liefore. Fitz Herbert, the top weight, is asked to carry 135, as against 138 previously assigned, and there is a general scaling down and some few changes besides, the most Important of which is the increasing of Donald Macdonalds assignment from 104 to 114 pounds. Donald Macdonalds vastly improved form following the first publication of the weights accounts for this change. It is provided that a winner of ,500 after publication of the weights shall carry five pounds extra. Penalties are to accrue from 12 oclock aoon, September 19. The following tabulation shows the weights now allotted as well as those announced in July: Former Horse. Age. Wt. Wt.
