KENTUCKY COMMISSION MEETS, Licenses Granted to Trainers and Jockeys — Letter Regarding H. G. Bedwells Status in California. Lexington. Ky., September 19. — The State Racing Commission, witli chairman E. F. Clay tnd Missis. Milton Young. Foxhall A. Daingertield and George J. Long present, met this morning. The commissions action was confined to routine matters. As to the proposed amendments to the rules, ii was agreed after soni discussion of the various topics embraced therein that they sliould lay over until after fall racing in Kentucky ends at Latei.ia on November 19. Tlie commission approved the application of the directors of the Kentucky Association for a change of the Lexington dates from Sep-temlier 1! to 28 to September 20 to 20, the change growing out of the postponement of the opening here. The following officials for the three fall meetings were approved: Lexington ■— T. H. Clay, presiding judge: D. Gray Falconer, associate judge: William II. Shelley, secretary and handicapper: Mars Cassidy. starter: John Walsh, paddock judge: F. A. Daingertield, steward for racing commission. UmlallUe — Charles I. Price, presiding judge: Charles F. Grainger and W. II. Shelley, associate judges: Lyman H. Davis, secretary Bad handicapper: Edward Jasper, assistant secretary and entry clerk: Mars Cassidy. Iarter; John Walsh, paddock judge; George Linden be rger, timer; E. Brennan. track physician: George J. Long, steward for racing commission. Latonia— Cliarles F. Price, presiding judge; John B. Dillon. Sr.. associate judge; E. W. Maginn. secretary and handicapper; Mars Cassidy, starter; Dr. KeogB, paddock judge: Boy Sackett. clerk of the course; George Undeaberger, timer; Milton Young, steward foe racing commission. The following letter from Secretary Percy W. Treat of the New California Jockey Club, hearing date of San Francisco. September 7, was received by Secretary W. E. Bidweil and read t the commission: "I do not know why If. G. Bedwell shipped his horses to California. He most certainlv will not receive any recognition from us. He will not he given stalls nor allowed to exercise his horses eh our track, nor race, nor be allowed on Ihe grounds, unless In regard to the tatter you hare allowed him personally to cine on y ■ I rack grounds.
