FALL MEETINGS AT AN END With the closing of the Latoaia and Jamestown meetings yesterday the fall season of American racing came to an end From now until spring the sport will flourish on the winter tracks at Oakland Cal Juarez Mex Jacksonville Fla Pensacola Fla and Tampa Fla The Oakland meeting Is already in full swing having opened auspiciously a week ago On Thursday next Thanksgiving Day the Juarez Jacksonville and Pensacola meet ¬ ings will begin all with roseate prospects The out ¬ look is for a more brilliant winter racing season than was ever before known in this country The meeting at Tampa will open January 2 following the close of the Pensacola meeting
