IRON MASK GOES TO ENGLAND New York November 19 The last big shipment of American thoroughbreds which left New York on the American Transport steamer MinneaM lis November 5 arrived last Tuesday in London Harry Payne Whitney was the largest consignor he ship ¬ ping twentyfour including the crack twoyearold filly Bashti ThR lot will bo handled by Andrew A Joyner who has trained the Whitney horses in England during the past two seasons seasonsIron Iron Mask a likely twoyearold purchased at private sale by James Rowe from James R Kecne was also shipped to Mr Joyner JoynerAugust August Belmont sent Lady Amelia Misgivings Kings Favorite and two other broodmares to his stud in France FranceJoseph Joseph E Widener the Philadelphia turfman shipped the mare Martha Gorman to Fred Burlew the American trainer The daughter of Sir Dixon Sallie McClelland will probably go to the French establishment of Herman B Duryea t In the Whitney lot were twentytwo yearlings brought down from Brookdale by Edward C Taylor manager of the stnd in New Jersey These juveniles were picked from a big batch and they include brothers and sisters to many famous horses In the opinion of turfmen who saw them they are superior to any set thus far sent abroad
