INTEREST AT EL PASO IS KEEN Best Element of Citys Society Planning to Patron ize Winter Meeting at Juarei El Paso Tex November 19 It is gratifying to the management of the Jockey Club Juarez to note the interest taken by local people at this time in the coming meeting at Juarez track as attested by their keen desire to reserve grandstand boxes for the season and the great number of visitors at the track daily The majority of the boxes have been sold to the leading society people of El Paso and Thursday next will witness the most brilliant gathering ever seen at a track in the southwest The management has spared no expense in Improving the grandstand stables and grounds Everything is resplendent iu new paint and the stables have been treated to a coat of whitewash The inner rail has been painted white for the complete circuit of the track which has done much to relieve the somber color of the background and will enable racegoers to distinguish the colors of the horses more clearly and readily than heretofore heretoforeThe The horses are all going along well and while there have been no startling workouts thus far when the racers are given their final trials there will doubtless be some fast move The advance guard of regulars has begun to put In an appearance a car ¬ load arriving today from Salt Lake City while an ¬ other leaves San Antonio tonight The Latonia con ¬ tingent is expected by Tuesday and from the manner in which the hotels and rooming houses are filling It is evident that the coming meeting is the attrac ¬ tion which will bring here the largest number of strangers seen in El Paso in many seasons seasonsWord Word was received today that a carload of horses is en route to Juarez from the Oakland track
