BEN LASCA took the lead in the first quarter, but was rhulllcd rearward, then came again -and finished fast. BALELLA ran forwardly, but was never dangerous. The latter was rated to the stretch, then made an exceptionally brilliant slietch sprint and was going fast at the end. DORANTK ran a fine race, carried his weight well, and was always a forward contender, only tiring in the last hundred yards. GREEN SEAL led under sufferance for three-quarters, then retired.
