INJURY AGAIN EQUALS JUAREZ RECORD. lU Paso. Tex., January 0. Ideal weather and the San Miguel Handicap served to attract 4,0C to Ter-razas Park yesterday. Injury, from the stable of L W. Fuller, again demonstrated his claim to be one of the best horses seen here by equaling his former record of 1 :45 for a mile and a sixteenth despite the fact that lie was conceding much weight to Ids opponents. Overcontidence on the part of the rider came near costing him the race. He was eased up In the stretch when apparently winning with ease and the boy was compelled to shake him up in the last fifty yards to withstand the final rush of Cherryola. which closed like a whirlwind. The secondary feature of the card was the handicap at three-quarters. It proved an exciting contest, the three placed horses running like a team nearly all the way. Oriental Pearl, when running prominently in the backstretch, stumbled and unseated her rider, who fortunately escaped injury. Shelby Oliver rejoined the ranks of the layers today. W. St. Vincent has arrived from Santa Anita with Salvage, Mike Jordan and six others.
