SAYVILLFJ ran excep-tioiiiilly well, ran away a -quarter of a mile before the start, then began slowly , and finished very fast. MARTIN CASEY showed much early speed, but tired finally. DENNIS STAFFORD, prominent early, was bumped back on the turn, then finished fast and just got up In time to win. ALICE GEORGE came from the rear with a rush and would have won in another stride. WALDORF BELLB closed a huge gap and finished with a rush. DENEEN also made up much ground. MIKE MOLETT set the pace to the stretch and tired from excessive use. SIXTEEN and SHAMROCK ran forwardly to the stretch, but quit when hard driven. LADY ELIZABETH showed speed. Scratched !3507 McNally, 110. BOB LYNCH went into tho lend quickly and set a good pace, but was tiring at the finish and, under careful musing, gamely stuck it out to the end. LOMOND, none too well ridden, tried to come through next to the rail in the stretch and was pinched off by BOB LYNCH bearing over in front of him. then icame again ,.imely and was going fastest at the end. THE WOLF ran well and appeared the winner-when a sixteenth out, but tired badly in the final strides. GLORIO is nowhere near ready. OCEAN QUEEN was outpaced. Overweights The Wolf. 2 pounds. INJURY, a grand horse at present, was taken back and saved early, then moved up rapidly while rounding the last turn and appeared to lie winning so easily that his rider grew overconfident and eased him up, then had to shrike him up to withstand the closing rush of C1IF.RRYOLA. The latter was far back in the earlv running, but made a great stretch rush and nearly caught the leaders rider napping in the final strides. ANGELUS set a hot pace, but tired in the stretch racing.
