THISTLE ROSE dropped back in the early running and came again, finishing fast. QUEEN REE ran gamely, but was outpaced all the way. PRETTY SOON showed speed, but tired. FLYING PERL began slowly, but closed a gap and finished fast. SIXTEEN showed early speed, but retired at the end of a good half. SCARLET PIMPERNEL made up much ground and finished gamelv. PEDRO, victim of a bad ride, was taken back early and had but little chance afterwards. SIR EDWARD set a fast pace to the stretch, then quit badly. ALICE GEORGE ran well. PIT A-PAT, close up in the early running, quit badly. HELEN SCOTT closed a big gap. RUE ran a bad race and was never prominent. ARAGONESE ran well to the stretch and quit.
