STARBOARD outbroke the others, but was much used in racing JOE GAITENS into defeat and tired hi the final drive. CONGO came through fast on the inside after entering the homestretch and finished gamely. OAKIIUBST closed a big gup aiid loiild have won in a few more strides. STAROVER closed a gap and, finishing with a belated rush, beat SPIXDLE out of second place in the final stride. The latter tired after making a fast and menacing effort on the stretch turn. THE MONK was carried wide on all turns and closed a big gap. SHAPDALE ran in closest pursuit to the stretch and tired finally. IIEXRY HUTCHISON met with much interference. EDWIX L. finished with a rush and outgaraed FALCADA in the final drive. The latter ran a good race, but tired when it came to the deciding drive. MERMAX and ELFALL finished close up. DAMILLD set the pace for three-quarters and quit.
