The latter followed the leaders close up to the stretch turn and, finishing fast, easily disposed of MaLITINB in the last furlong, but was driving hard at the finish. CASQUE finished with a rush and was gaining on the leaders with every stride. MALITINE ran well and was cut off at the half-mile post.
