SAM BARBER ran in nearest pursuit under restraint until well down the stretch, then drew up with a rush and won going- away. MIKE MOLETT showed much speed in setting the pace to the final furlong, but tired biially when hard pressed. ROSE DALY made up ground and tlnished fast. TRAFALGAR quit badly after rimiing forwardly to the stretch. PERSONALTY ran fairly well. GEORGIA SHAND closed a big gap. DAVE MONTGOMERY began slowly, but closed a gap and overcame much interference gamely, then, standing a long, hard drive well, just got up in time to win. THE ROBIN took the lead at once and. showing plenty of speed, set a fast pace, but his rider pulled him over sharply to DAVE MONTGOMERY in the stretch, which possibly cost him the race. VIRGIE CASSE had no mishaps and was hard riddeii all the wav. TEXAN and SOLUS showed early speed, but tired quickly in the stretch. OLD NICK and AUNT NANCY ran fairly well.
