MEXICO, lucky and clear of interference throughout, finished fast and won going away. WOOLTEX, probably best, was cut off after the start and carried wide when coming out of the chute, but closed a big gap and finished resolutely. BILL LAMB was speedy and set a fast pace, but tired in the decisive drive. BESSIE FRANK, off badly, made up considerable ground into a close up fourth. THISTLE ROSE ran disappointingly.
