The program provided by tlie .Moiicricf Park management this afternoon "was the best mid-week card of the season. Well matched fields wore named in all of the six dashes and horses of good class contested the third and fourth races. Tlie third race, which was a. six and a half furlongs dash for three-year-olds, resulted in a .sinew-straining finish between Governor 1 5 ray. Special Brew and Judge Monck, in which the former just managed to get up in the final stride to win by a nose. The winner established a new track record for the distance by running it in 1:20. Mary Davis was forced to stand a long and hard u t relch drive to beat Guy Fisher a length in tlie mile and a sixteenth handicap.
