JOCKEY PICKETT IS REINSTATED. Tampa, Fla., February 7. With the exception of the two-year-old ny?e todays card was ordinary and was run without incident. Woolstone was the only favorite that was successful. Some of the winners, however, were well backed, and this diminished the profits of the bookmakers. The stewards announced, the following during the afternoon: "W. O. Joplin, having appealed for a rehearing in the matter of his jockey, Pickett, and his riding of Little Dutch January 31. the stewards have decided to rescind the ruling which limited his mounts and he has been restored to full standing. The consistent high-class form since shown by Eglantine, which beat Little Dutch in the race mentioned, helped the stewards to reach this conclusion, which is concurred in by the judges." J. C. Milam was among todays visitors. He is accompanied by Mrs. Milam and is on pleasure bent. -Mr. Milam said that he would campaign a strong string this spring. Mr. Hare, who is interested in half-mile tracks in Canada, is here to outline his plans to horsemen for the coming season.
