NOTES OF THE TURF. J. E. Wldeners Truckee ran second in a steeplechase race in France yesterday. Max Steuer, who was attorney for former Senator Frank J. Gardner in bis bribery trial, announced yesterday that he had filed charges of perjury against former Senator Otto G. Foelker, Gardners accuser. Arthur J. Hancock has leased from James R. Keene the young Commando stallion, Celt, and the horse will at once begin stud duty at Ellerslie Farm in Albemarle County, Va., replacing the Isonmy stallion. Fatherless, whose death occurred recently. Glorifier is also at Ellerslie Farm.
