SPECIAL INDUCEMENTS FOR JOCKEYS. Program books for the spring meetings at the two Montreal half-mile tracks have been issued. The Delorimier Park meeting will be for the regulation seven days, from May 20 to May 27. with six or more races dailv. The purses will be of the uniform value of 00. "The racing officials will include Paul Gallbert. II. A. Dorscy and A. Scott Ives, stewards; John Rodcn, judge: James .Milton, starter; Dr. P. E. .Maurice, paddock anil patrol judge: Seymour Rentier, chief of detectives; . C. Canipau, secretary; S. N. Holman. manager. The King Edward Park meeting will likewise occupy sevn days, from i.lnne 24 to Julv 1, with similar purse offerings. The officials for this nieelinjr will include John Bodcn, .steward": Ed Cole, judge; W. M. Murray, starter: Dr. P. E. Maurice," paddock aud patrol judge; C. C. Campau, secretary: S. N. Holman. manager. These two tracks will offer a novel inducement to jockeys to do their best at all times. A prize of 0O will be distributed each day among the jockeys 0 to the boy making the best showing. 0 to the second and 0 to the third. In this competition a winning mount will count 50 pounts, a second 40 points and n third 35 points. It is provided that any jockey incurring a fine from the judges or starter shall be suspended from eligibility for the daily prize and that such suspension may last throughout the meeting.
