NOTES OF THE TURF. Fred Taral will establish himself at Sheepshead Buy as a trainer. George Cornnell. trainer for the Quiney Stable, has put his string of six horses in active training at Gravcseud. J. F. Sweeney, J. K. Frayling and II. McCoulsky will be represented in a shipment of horses from Tampa to Norfolk this week. Stokes, carrying the colors of Thomas Hitchcock. Jr., won the Prix do la Champagne of 4,000 francs at Enghien, France, Saturday. Alexander Frazcr, a wealthy Kansas City business man and half owner of Eim Ridge race track, died Sunday. He was lifty-seven years old and was born in Inverness. Scotland. Jockey Butwcll left Jacksonville Sunday for Toronto to spend a few days preparatory to departing for Russia, where he goes, to fill an engagement made for him by S. S. Howland of New York. Jockey C.
