DON D0M0 AGAIN UNDER COLORS. The "Gray -Ghost" Shows Some of His Old-Time Speed at Juarez and Is Heartily Cheered. El Paso, Tex.. March 9. An attractive card and ideal racing weather drew a goodly throng to Ter-razas Park today. The various races were well contested throughout and tint public bad a shade the better of the argument witli the layers at the close of .the afternoons sport. The fourth race was the most pretentious and at post time J. II. Meades consistent Chapultepec was held a strong favorite. He fully justified the confidence of his backers by winning witli plenty to spare. A secondary feature of the days racing was the appearance of Don Domo, the "grav ghost," which has been in retirement since 100S, when ho last started at Seattle. Ho was brought here by Mose Newman to be used as a saddle pony, but after his arrival be showed such speed that" he was again put in training. The old fellow was lustily elieered as he paraded to the post, and when he assumed the lead on the back-stretch the occupants of the grandstand applauded his effort heartily. He ran a good. game, nice for a first start and when properly placed will probably give a good account of himself in future racing. John Louis, claimed yesterday by F. W. Doss, owner of Buckthorn, was sold today to J. II. Meade. Af. C. Pritchard is brandling out quite extensively as a purchaser of thoroughbreds, having acquired today from Barney SchreilMU- the good four-year-old horse. Vreeland, for the reported price of ,000, and Double F. from J. Johnston. Jockeys Nolan. Rio: and Kennedy accounted for the card today, each winning two races.
