MONCRIEF FINISHES CLOSE STIRRING STRETCH DRIVES MARK RACING AT JACKSONVILLE COURSE. Doctor Duenner, Antenor and Mclvor Noses Apart in Order Named in Handicap Feature of Card Judges Issue Two Disciplinary Rulings. Jacksonville, Fla., March 30. Well-matched fields went to the post in a majority of the races at Moncrief Park tbU afternoon and the last four races furnished driving finishes, with short heads separating the first two in three of these contests at the end. .u exceptionally large erowd was present and, as four first choices were returned winners, the afternoons outing was all the more enjoyable. The best fields went to the post in the third and fourth races. The third race was a six and a half furlongs handicap for three-year-olds. Dr. Duenner, tne top weight and favorite, won in a strenuous drive in which ho just did manage to get up in the final stride. "Antenor in turn nosed out Mclvor for second place. It was one of the best finishes of the meeting. Dr. Duenner is Samuel Hoss candidate for the American. Derby, to be decided April 1, and, with Lahore a likely absentee, ho looms as a formidable contender. The fourth race wont to Kick Stoner, and he, too, had to be hard ridden to beat Hilly Vamlerveer a head. The winner, which was pulling" a hack in Brooklyn a year ago, has developed into one of the best platers racing here. At the conclusion of the afternoons sport the judges announced two rulings. Dave Woodford, trainer for the lSeverwyck Stable, was fined 3 for running Dantield without blinkers in the fifth race yesterday. Trainer Lucas, who is handling Ida D. for Mrs. W. G.
