SILK closed a gap and, coming fast in the final eighth, was slightly interfere:! with when COBLESKILL fell, then almost got up to win. LYKERS rushed into an early lead, set a fast pace and, although tiring badly, hung on gamely to the end. ELDER ran a dull race. GENE AVOOD ran well, but tired in the final drive. DON ANTONIO, as good as left, went after the others and closed an immense gap Into a fast going third, but could not get up to win. LUKE CATES ran well, began slowly and finished fast and resolutely. nUSH MONEY showed speed for three-quarters, but tired and evidently was short. CUBAN BOY and DIRECT quit after showing early speed. ARAGONESE began slowly, but closed a great gap and finished with a rush into a close third. AVAR JIG ran into a long early lead and set the pace to the last furlong, then quit badlv. RONTON ran into a long lead and set the pace to midway of the stretch, but tired badly in the final furlong. P.UNA ran a svod three-quarters. LITTLE MARCHMONT quit and ran a bad race.
