NEW CAPITAL was taken to the outside all the way and lost much ground, but finished fast on the extreme outside and should have won. COM M B N D ATI ON showed great speed and set a fast paee. hut tired badly in the final drive. PLUME-closed a- gap In tho last quarter. -URALLA ran prominently to the stretch and retired.
