BRITISH COLUMBIA RACING DETAILS. Vancouver. 15. C, April 4. The prospects for a successful season were never brighter in the annals of the British Columbia turf. The three leading thoroughbred associations of the Province have conferred and will make concerted efforts to place Rrit-ish Columbia racing this year upon a high plane. Since the organization of the Victoria Country club Mini tlie British Columbia Thoroughbred Association and the construction of the Minoru Park race course, lit 3909, racing has made vast strides in popular local favor, and there are now probably one hundred thoroughbreds owned and distributed through the Province. The attendance of the public at the raco meetings of these organizations has always been large and of a representative nature. The summer climate of British Columbia is unsurpassed for racing and training purposes. Norses do exceptionally well here. .Feed is moderate and transportation facilities to the tracks excellent. Immediately after the close of the meetings of the Victoria Country Club and British Columbia Thoroughbred Association, the Vancouver and Victoria Exhibition Associations hold their meetings, at both of which exceedingly liberal purses will be offered for running horses. The dates for the various meetings will be as follows: Victoria Country Club Saturday, May 20 to Saturday, May 27. Vancouver Jockey Club Saturday, June 10 to Saturday, June 17. British Columbia Thoroughbred Association Friday. June .".0 to Friday, July 7. Vancouver Jockey Club Saturday, July S to Saturday, July 15. llritish Columbia Thoroughbred Association Saturday.
