FOUR-MILE RACE INTERESTS HORSEMEN. Lexinglon, Ky., April 12. Heavy rain last night left the local track muddy and there was no galloping here tills morning. The Kentucky State Racing Commission will be asked at its meeting April 20 to assume charge of the proposed four-mile race for next fall to fix the time for the closing of entries, receive nominations and the bids of associations for the race. The proposal of such a race has made a big hit with horsemen here. They talked of little else today. Gns Macey has put The Moat, a frequent winner at Tampa, in charge of W. J. Young. J. E. Otto made aimlication today for stable room for eight horses now at Louisville.
